Move well, live well.

How you move, and how you habitually position your body, directly affects your ability to function and maintain health and vitality. Restorative Exercise is designed to educate and provide you with the knowledge, understanding, skills, and tools you need to cultivate healthy alignment, restore function to weak or compromised areas, and establish health-promoting movement habits in your daily lifestyle.

Restorative Exercise:
For Women

What can Restorative Exercise do for you?

Women's health issues that stem from poor movement include: cardiovascular system diseases, pelvic floor weakness (prolapse, leaking, heaviness, pain), core weakness (diastasis recti, back, neck and shoulder trouble, carpel tunnel syndrome), and foot, knee, and hip problems.

Oftentimes, these issues remain unrecognized until the years during and after childbirth. This is not because childbearing created the problems, but because it exacerbates any trouble already brewing under the surface. Restorative Exercise can help you regain control of your health, prepare you for birth, and put you on the path to full postpartum recovery and vibrant living. Even if years have passed already, it's never too late to move towards a more functional and resilient life.

Restorative Exercise: For Men

What can Restorative Exercise do for you?

Men's health issues that stem from poor movement include: cardiovascular system diseases, pelvic floor and core weakness (prostate trouble, diastasis recti, hernia, hemorrhoids, back, neck and shoulder trouble, carpel tunnel syndrome), and foot, knee, and hip problems.

Whether you are an indoor, office-type person, farmer, or a sports or fitness king, your lifestyle is cultivating certain key problems that are likely to flare at some point in your life. These may seem to be caused by one certain event, but the weakness was there already and, like childbearing for a woman, it only takes an additional load or stress to reveal it. Restorative Exercise can help you regain control of your health, restore the strength and stability that you desire, and cultivate a resilient, healthy body able to overcome the stresses and challenges you place upon it. Whether it is an old injury or a new problem, it is never too late to move towards a more functional, vibrant life.

FAQs:
What is a Restorative Exercise session like?
It is a combination of learning and identifying alignment markers in your body, learning corrective exercises to address problems, learning how to incorporate healthy movement into your daily activities, and identifying and educating "blind spots" in your body's habits.
Where can I have a session with you?
Currently, Katie and Amy travel within a 1 1/2 hour radius of their home in Perry County. This includes Nashville and Jackson. People outside of this travel range often have a friend who lives closer and is willing to open their home for us to meet. Another alternative, especially when the weather is good, is to meet at a park.
What is your schedule and when can I get a session?
Our schedule is constantly changing. If you want a session, ask us! We will come up with a time that works for both you and your CPT-RES instructor.
Can I pick which instructor I want?
Absolutely! Both Katie and Amy are knowledgeable and skilled in their work, but if you feel like one or the other is better for you, don't be shy about requesting a certain person.
We are sisters, went through our training together, and constantly discuss and exchange ideas and information, and trust each other. There's no competition here and nobody will get their feelings hurt if someone wants the other person. We're even happy to alternate, trade off, or otherwise share responsibilities between us. Our primary goal is to provide the highest caliber of care and instruction to our clients.
